This will be the official blog of the website VTRIP.INFO.
I started this website in the year 2005 as a simple travel guide in my free time and now I’ve integrated a price comparison engine and started improvising the service. Trying to stay away from collecting the personal information of people to maintain the uniform service.
What’s big deal about this website anyway?
Well this is a new emerging technology, meta search for the travel deals which allows you to compare the hotel rates from more than one website like you already do for the your electronic gagets.
This engine compare more than 31 websites, inclusive of travelocity, expedia, orbitz, priceline and more. The only toughest part is some of these website will not allow to show the prices simultaneously, this is engine takes into that as a account that as well (based on the providers rule set) and displays accordingly.
The other beauty in this website is its index page, In the index page you will see preselected cities, that’s a real time change, so each person lands on this website will see a different set of cities. The criteria right now is the maximum number of providers, which obiviously will have possible lowest price.
I didn’t stop there, as you guys know the internet world is evolving out with more social spaces like facebook, myspace, bebo and much more… So i decided to take this comparison engine to the next level.
I created a widget which is portable into your own blogs or facebook, igoogle, myspace etc… the smart thing about this widget is it when you start typing in your city name it will provide you with the suggestions and its a real time call implemented via AJAX.
Do you know how many cities its trying to filter?
Its more than 18,700, some times it will be even more than 20,000 cities.
