Widgets
Recently the term widget is becoming popular. Widgets are very small application which can reside on third party websites or client machine (like your desktop, laptop etc.) and they can collect some information and provide you with the information you are looking for on a product or service. If you are blog writer your updates to your blog can be shared as a widget and if your friend install it on his / her blog, it will show up a link when you update your content.
The possibilities of things happening is infinite when it comes to blog, it all matter how creative you are and how light it is.
I developed one such widget, which takes the power of the hotel price comparison into small form and it can be installed in you blog post or side bar (wordpress is not supporting it in sidebar because its a javascript) . The word around for that is bring that power in a post and create a link on the sidebar to that post.
What is so special?
Well you may ask every one does widget, what do you have special. Well, I customized the widget to suggest the city name when you start typing. This will save even more time and ofcourse can reduce the spelling mistakes and it will show you only the cities which has deals through the hotel comparsion engine.
What does it achieve?
Lets say you install in you myspace or blog or whatever space you own in web, this will eliminate the first trip to my site. Ideally you type in the city and provide the check in and check out date and click on the search button, it will directly take you to the deals page where the available hotels with the cheapest prices on show and then you know what to do.
So, where can i find the widget code?

There will be snap shot and a live demo.
By the way WordPress.com is not supporting javascript anymore, well the below link confirms that:

I had to digg a lot to find out why its not showing up. Simply on the editor they would have made a statement no javascripts allowed.
You can still take the power of this widget by downloading the wordpress software and it will allow any javascripts.
